Meditation Info & Resources Overview
Here you'll find useful information on Theravada Buddhist practice. Theravada, which means "the Teaching of the Elders" or "the Ancient Teaching", is the oldest surviving form of Buddhism. The origins of the Theravada trace directly back in an unbroken tradition to the Buddha, who lived in India, circa 563 BCE to 483 BCE. For many centuries Theravada has been the predominant religion in Burma, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Sri Lanka.
